Hello people I’m back. I’ve been out for a couple of weeks but I’m back to continue rocking with you all. So let’s get right into it shall we? So over my 26 years of smoking the green glory. I’ll be honest, I’m not a big smoker like that. I’m not a wake and baker or a traveler landing anywhere talking about where's the weed at? I actually smoke with a special group of my friends I really consider my brothers. Mind you, we also own a Barbershop so yeah we smoke together like every day except Sundays lol. Now since I’ve been smoking I’ve tried the bongs, the pipes and other gadgets real smokers have come up with in their inventive minds. I’ve even smoked weed using a heat gun and a glass tube with a big plastic bag attached to it. That was the best high ever in my life. Thanks Super Dave, will never forget it. That’s my homeboy, I gave him the name Super Dave because he would get us so high we felt like we were flying like superman!
Now Super Dave like most of his crew smoke joints, joints rolled like baseball bats, but joints. We at the shop on the other hand, we smoke blunts. If you don’t know the difference between a joint and a blunt, you may live under a rock or in an affluent neighborhood, in which case you more than likely smoke joints. A blunt is a name “we” made up as a nickname for weed rolled in cigar leaf. We smoke blunts cause they provide a bit of a kick with every puff and they also burn slower, causing the experience to last longer. Over the years, the battle between joint smokers and blunt smokers has carried on for several decades now. Joint smokers will add some of the most flavorful strains of weed like, Banana Runtz, Raspberry kush, Wedding cake, Sour Diesel, Green Crack, Zoap, All Gas, Strawberry Cough etc. These flavors have some of the most intense taste among most strains, just to name a few. Joint smokers will tell you “ I smoke papers because I can taste the weed more” I get it. I can understand if some want to taste the weed and smack their tongues after that initial puff. Those weed strains are grown most times indoors under UV lamps designed to give off the highest amount of THC crystals (Cannabinoids) possible with every marijuana crop harvested every 4 months.
Now when you’re talking about blunts rolled in cigar leaf. You want strains like Purple Haze, Chocolate Thai, Pineapple Express, Bruce banner, Sour Space Candy, White widow, Blue Dream, etc. These strains, you want to roll in a blunt. Yeah the flavor is a plus always, but that kick! That nothing less than iron lung puff... That 2 minute cough, passing the blunt to whomever is nearest to you just so you can put both hands on both knees to cough type of kick only comes from a blunt! And sometimes, a bong if you’re going for the big pull! Joint smokers will tell you they don’t know how we do it, “It’s so harsh” they say. Meanwhile a blunt smoker will pick up a joint, smoke it, and yet still make a face like the "meh" emoji. It seems like this will be a never ending battle, but at the end of the day its all about your preference. Our NYC dispensary has a variety of strains and flavors, I’d like you all to do a little experiment. Roll a few joints and a few blunts, use some of the strains I mentioned above or some of the new young strains like Mimosa, Gelato, Sunset Sherbet, Gorilla Glue whatever you smoke. Have your friends take blind taste test of the same weed in papers and leaves and have them secretly write down whichever they really liked more and send me the results. A for rolling papers or B for blunts and let me know, this was fast & fun …Oz
